Trichoderma Asperellum

Trichoderma Asperellum

Plant growth promoting and fungal biocontrol concentrate

Supports biological disease suppression, root stimulation, and healthier rhizosphere development

Trichoderma asperellum is a beneficial fungal biocontrol concentrate widely used for management of soil-borne fungal pathogens and improvement of root-zone biological activity. The fungus rapidly colonizes the rhizosphere and suppresses pathogenic fungi through competition, antibiosis, mycoparasitism, and enzyme production.

In addition to disease suppression, T. asperellum acts as a plant growth-promoting fungus by improving nutrient uptake, root vigor, and soil biological health.

Target Pathogens

Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum)

Ticks

White rot (Sclerotinia cepivorum)

Damping off (Pythium aphanidermatum)

Damping off (Rhizoctonia solani)

Root rot (Macrophomina phaseolina)

Soft rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum)

Blight (Phytophthora capsici)

Grey mould (Botrytis cinerea)

Competition

Trichoderma rapidly colonizes the rhizosphere and competes with pathogens for space and nutrients, limiting their establishment and growth.

Mycoparasitism

The fungus acts directly against pathogenic fungi by producing enzymes such as chitinases, glucanases, proteases, cellulases, and lipases that degrade pathogen cell walls and hyphae.

Antibiosis

Produces secondary metabolites and antifungal compounds that inhibit growth, reproduction, and infection by plant pathogenic fungi.

Plant Growth Promotion

The fungal strains support root proliferation, nutrient uptake, moisture absorption, and overall plant vigor by improving rhizosphere activity.

Induced Resistance (ISR & SAR)

Stimulates natural plant defense responses by inducing production of phytoalexins, antioxidants, PR proteins, and other defense-related compounds that improve resistance against biotic stress.

Organic Matter Decomposition

Supports decomposition of organic matter and contributes to improved soil biological activity and soil structure.
