Azo Bacter

Azo Bacter

Azospirillum Based Nitrogen Fixing Biofertilizer

Supports biological nitrogen fixation and promotes stronger root development and crop growth

Azo Bacter® is an Azospirillum-based nitrogen-fixing biofertilizer developed to improve nitrogen availability naturally through associative biological nitrogen fixation. The formulation supports stronger root development, improved nutrient uptake, enhanced rhizosphere activity, and healthier crop growth.

By colonizing the root zone and surrounding rhizosphere, Azo Bacter® helps improve plant vigor, root proliferation, and nutrient-use efficiency under diverse agricultural conditions.

Associative Nitrogen Fixation

The Azospirillum bacteria present in Azo Bacter® colonize the rhizosphere and root surfaces, converting atmospheric nitrogen into plant-available forms through biological nitrogen fixation.

Root Colonization

The microbial strains establish themselves around actively developing roots, improving nutrient exchange and supporting healthier rhizosphere activity.

Phytohormone Production

The beneficial microbes produce natural plant growth-promoting substances such as auxins, gibberellins, and cytokinins that stimulate root development and plant growth.

Nutrient Uptake Enhancement

Improved root growth and microbial activity support better absorption of nutrients and water from the soil.

Dose

  • Field Crops: 1–2 L per acre
  • Horticultural Crops: 2–5 L per acre

Drip / Drench Application

Mix the required quantity of formulation with approximately 200 L of water and apply through drip irrigation or soil drenching.

Broadcasting Application

Mix the formulation with 200–500 kg of well-decomposed FYM or organic manure and broadcast uniformly near the root zone.

Seed Treatment

Apply with suitable sticker solution before sowing for improved early root colonization.

Application Timing

Can be applied anytime during the cropping period. Best results are obtained when used with organic manures and proper soil moisture conditions.
