We recently ran a small experiment using Trichoderma for seed treatment and sowed it in organic matter–rich soil. The difference was clearly visible – stronger, healthier plants compared to control.
What’s more, the Trichoderma not only survived but multiplied and sporulated on the pieces of organic matter around the root hairs.
This shows how essential organic matter is for the best results of Trichoderma or any biologicals.
If the soil is low in organic matter, it’s best to apply Trichoderma along with FYM or compost, so the spores can survive, colonize, and multiply effectively.
