Beauveria bassiana Based Bioinsecticide
Broad-spectrum biological control for sucking pests and soft-bodied insects
Beauvonelix® is a Beauveria bassiana-based bioinsecticide developed for effective biological control of a wide range of sucking and soft-bodied insect pests. This naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus provides reliable pest suppression while supporting residue-free and sustainable crop protection.
The fungal spores attach to the insect body, germinate, penetrate the cuticle, and multiply internally, ultimately causing insect mortality. Beauvonelix® is widely used in greenhouse, nursery, and field crops for management of aphids, whiteflies, thrips, and related insect pests.
Spore Attachment & Germination
The fungal spores attach to the insect cuticle and begin germination within hours after contact with the host insect.
Cuticle Penetration
The growing fungal hyphae penetrate through the insect cuticle and enter the internal body cavity.
Internal Colonization
Once inside the insect body, the fungus multiplies rapidly, consumes internal nutrients, and colonizes the insect tissues.
Toxin Production
Beauvonelix® produces toxic fungal metabolites that weaken and kill the insect host.
Secondary Spread
After insect death, new fungal spores develop externally and spread naturally within the crop environment, helping suppress additional pest populations.
| Parameter | Specification |

| Active Ingredient | Beauveria bassiana Spores |
| Formulation | Wettable Powder (WP) |
| Concentration | Minimum 2 × 10⁸ CFU/g |
| Recommended Dose | 2–4 kg per acre |
| Mode of Action | Entomopathogenic fungal infection |

Foliar Application
Apply 1–2 g per litre of water during early pest population stages as foliar spray. For effective control, repeat applications at 5–10 day intervals under favorable environmental conditions.
Under heavy pest pressure, shorter application intervals (2–5 days) or initial knockdown treatment may be required for satisfactory control.
Soil Application
Apply 2–4 kg per acre mixed with well-decomposed FYM or organic manure near the root zone for management of soil insect pests.
Drip / Soil Drench Application
Apply through drip irrigation or soil drenching during the latter half of irrigation when the soil is adequately moist for better fungal establishment.
Application Conditions
Best results are obtained under humid environmental conditions favorable for fungal germination and infection.
Integrated Use
Compatible with most biological and chemical crop protection products and suitable for IPM programs.
